SATS briefing powerpoint
We had a SATS briefing Thursday 25th January. The powerpoint is here if you were unable to attend. If you have any concerns or worries, please come and talk to Miss Langridge, Mr Dyke or Ms Rich.
At the beginning of the term, year six children participated in the school journey. You can see the photos from the trip here:
Meanwhile, children who remained at school participated in a range of activities from cooking, bowling and art, you can see photos from this here:
Each day, pupils are expected to arrive at 8:45am and line up ready to enter school by 8:50 (pupils who do so will receive dojo points). It is very important that your child arrives on time and ready to learn each morning.
Pupils are rewarded for their positive behaviours through Classdojo. This is a platform that allows teachers to award points individually, pupils are then able to redeem these points for various rewards which can include: prizes, choosing your seat for the day, additional reward time, etc.

Reading is one of the most important ways to ensure your child makes strong progress. Pupils should read for at least 30 minutes everyday and record a short summary of what they have read in their reading diaries each day. Reading diaries are checked regularly and pupils who complete their reading daily will receive dojo points and a special reward at the end of the half-term.
Pupils have the option to read either their class book, library book or another book of their choosing (so long as this is at the appropriate level).
We are fortunate enough to have access to a series of online resources for children to access for reading if they wish:
This can be done on Epic! or with a text of your choice.
